That's all for today. Just remember to do your ABCs first when dealing with potential CPR patients. That's Airway, Breathing and Circulation. First check to see if their tongue or some food is blocking the airway. If so, then remove the food or adjust their head to move their tongue. Once you've established a clear airway, check their breathing. If they're not breathing, then you will have to breathe into their lungs to provide some oxygen. Last, check their circulation by feeling their pulse. This is a rough indication of whether their heart is still pumping. These are all necessary, important assessments to complete BEFORE beginning any resuscitation techniques or CPR.

也就是指Airway(氣管),Breathing(呼吸),及Circulation(血液循環)。

We'd like to end our nightly news with our "On the Brighter Side" report. This evening's feature is a group of elementary students who participated in an "Adopt-a-Grandparent Day." For kids without grandparents and old folks looking for a little bit of company, the annual event was a huge success at Wilson Elementary School. Organized by their school's volunteer service, over 100 children were paired up with residents of the Glory Day Care Home. Participants are seen here enjoying storytelling, a barbecue picnic and the highlighted "Old and New Fashion Show" with grandparent and grandkid models. Medical experts say increased activity and socializing help slow down physical and mental deterioration associated with aging. But ask any of this year's participants and they'll say it's all about the fun.

課程內容包括播放一些非主流電影;學生觀賞後分組討論;邀請包括蔡名亮、林振盛等國內知名導演與同學面對面座談;

Much of literary criticism looks at works regardless of the time they were written in; in other words, too many literary critics judge past works by the standards of their own time and values. For example, in today's world nearly everyone in developing and developed countries can read, a fact many of these professional critics ignore. Only in the late 19th century did public education slowly develop, thereby allowing "the masses" to read and write. Before that, only the educated of the upper classes could enjoy reading. Novels written at that time were aimed at these classes; those aimed at the "general reading public" developed only in the 20th century. It is unfair, therefore, to judge books written more than a hundred years ago by today's social values.

OK, guys, listen up. My name is Eric Thurmond, and I'm the leader of the second floor. We have 24 guys in six rooms on this floor, so we have to keep things in good order, especially the bathroom. No one wants to be getting sick, right? Anyone caught not cooperating on keeping the bathroom clean will have bathroom duty two times. Otherwise, we take turns, two different guys each weekend throughout the semester. Second, for security reasons, make sure you lock the gate if you come back after 10:00 p.m. I don't have to explain that. Finally, keep it quiet especially at night! We're here to study, not to fool around all day. Violators will be warned only once on this rule, then, you're out!

I'm now adding some conditioner after shampooing her hair. Remember, though, to make sure to wash out all the soap before adding the conditioner. Add it when the hair is still wet. As with shampooing, gently massage the conditioner into the hair, right down to the skin. Likewise, never use your fingernails to scrub the hair or the skin. That will only break the hair or loosen the hair on the scalp, resulting in dry skin or "snow." Leave the conditioner there for 10 to 15 minutes, wash thoroughly, and then take your client to the next step, the manicure. For that, allow me to introduce Kerri Halloway, who will demonstrate the correct way to treat fingernails.
