7/24(一) Today, I went to Cottesloe Beach, Perth Bell Tower and Perth Mint. While I was awaiting the train in the Mt. Lawly train station, I met a Kiwi. We decided to travel together. We went to the Cottesloe Beach first. He stays in the hotel beside the beach and enjoys a beautiful view. We had a cup of coffee and took some picures at the beach. He constantly joked that I was such a difficult woman since I continued asking him to take the pictures over and over again. I was just unsatified with the photos he took for me. We went to the Perth City later. I came back at around five thirty. How fruitful today is! At night, Peter made us Maltis spring rolles. He curled the ingredients (spinach and cheese)with filo pastry and put them into the oven for a while. Put some cauliflower aside the plate. Then it’s done.

7/22(六) I painted the peaked fence again (3 hours in the morning) and then we had a picnic at Kings Park. It is the biggest park in Perth. There are varous kinds of plants, where we can see how the Australian government tries hard on preservation. Many attractions in Australia won’t be open on Christmas, ANZAC Day and Good Friday There is even a momorial monument in the park in remember the soldiers died of WWI and WWII.
P.S What is an ANZAC Day? ANZAC Day is a National Holiday in remember the died Kiwi and Aussie soldiers in WWI and WWII.
What is Good Friday? Good Friday is a Christian Day, coming together with Easter. It is the day when Jesus died. It’s usually a four day hoiday: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Fremental一日遊~Fremantle Prison
7/19(三) I went to Fremental today. I couldn’t fall asleep last night but I still got up at 8. After having a hot chocolate, ,I held the map book , said goodbye to Peter, and arrived at Mt. Lawly train station.
I went to Frementale prison first. I booked the cheapest tour (AUS $19).
The tourguide showed us the shower rooms/bedrooms/kitchen/recreation floor/cafeteria/church and even the places to whip and hang criminals. I had a picture with the tourguide.
He is funny and humorous. He could remember the names of the prisoners and the dates they were executed.
“Well~ I have to say exactly the same thing at least three times a day. Ha-ha~”. He said.
As soon as I went through the ticket checkpoint, I saw the newpaper stall titled
1984 Fremantle.
A shopping mall called Kakasist
There’s a limonsine in front of the church
A square
Town Hall Centre
The sign of Fremantle Prison
The Premantle Prison
The admisstion ticket for the prison tour. I booked the 11 o’clock tour.
Some people are waiting for the tour. You have to join one of the tours, otherwise you
can’t go inside. Only the tourguide has the key.
The tourguide checked everyone’s admissions.
The tourguide explained the rules to us. He won’t be able to wait for us, so we have to
follow him closely.
The showers for prisioners to use
Look into the jails from the lawn outside. The brightness ourside is contradictory to the
darkness inside the jails.
The nets overhead are used to prevent prisoners from commiting suicide (jumping off).
There are four floors of the prison. The tourguide suggested us to take a picture of this
view. “It’s the best view” He said.
The cell
The mailboxes. If the prisoners have any requests (for example, they want to go to
church this Sunday), they write request letters and send them into the mailboxes.
The showers inside the jail
The telephone booth
There are stoves and cookers on the right of the kitchen
There are some pictures on the left side of the kitchen. It shows how prisoners
helped cooking.
The toilets around the recreation ground
There are some tables for the prisoners to have meals and take a rest in the
recreation ground
The curled iron wires are used to prevent the prisoners from running away
The weight lifter are for the prisoners to do exercise. There aren't weights, though,
since the prisoners might use them as weapons.
The church in the prison was used for the prisoners who wanted to go to church. But
now there are many weddings held here. “The latest wedding was held last Friday.
You know why?! Because it’s Thirtheen Friday. Ha! Ha!” He said.
The two small rooms with iron windows are for prisoners committed sever crimes.
The hallway of the offices
The cell with a double-decker bed
There was an artist imprisioned in this cell. The painting on the wall is one of his
works.
Another equipment for prisoners to do exercise.
A rack for prison guard to whip the prisoners. There was a prisoner severly whipped and
sent to the hospital with blood all over his body.
The is where the prisoners hang to death. The chair is used for the over-frightened
prisoners to sit down.
The red light downstairs is the special effects.
I had a picture with the tourguide. He is funny and humorous. He could remember the
names of the prisoners and the dates they were executed.

7/18(二) I slept in until 12 noon. I removed the weeds in the backyard for an hour and half. Then we had sandwiches for lunch. I submitted photos to shutterstocks again today(finally… I stayed up late last night to pick up some good pictures) , but I didn’t get the responses yet. We had Malta’s traditional food for dinner. Thanks to Peter’s menteioning all the time ( he is a half Maltish), I learned that it is an European island near Mediterranean. Just the upper side of Africa. After dinner, he made us banana fritters as desserts. Mix flour and milk and then put a banana on the middle of it. Just like a pancake! Water them with some maple syrup and apply some yogurt (maybe some cinnamon, too) It made me think of the fried banana in Costa Rica.

7/16(日) Today, the French couple arrived and we drove to Clakeline. We cleaned up the shack and took a walk around here. It was too dark and we couldn’t see any kangloos. We walked home and had dinner. After dinner, we drank tea and had a nice talk. The wife said they plan to see the famous Wave Rocks. “I wish I could go there, too.” I said. It will take at least six hours for the round trip, which it might take a whole day. During dinner, the husband said he could make French wine beef for us. Peter was very happy and told them we will come here again on Wednesday night (with his daughter Milia).

我在Australia做 help exchange的日子~a warm night
7/15(六)We went to a bar and then a bookstore. There, Peter met a friend of his. Again, we went to another bar and had a nice talk. When we came home, it was nearly midnight. Time flies! Such an enjoyable time we shared made everybody warm tonight!

7/14 (五) I made lunch at noon and dinner tonight. The food for lunch is what Peter often does. Potato salad. A potato (microwaved for 3 minutes), lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and yogurt. Oh, spring onions. And I made yam porrige and fried eggs and fired eggplants for dinner.
I took a walk with Abby this afternoon. Originally, I meant to the campus of Edith Cowan University only. But it like a complex. The university is next to a senior high school, in front of a golf course and near a park. I arrived at Hamer Park first and watched many people playing sports: soccer, cricket, basketball, tennis and even boules…of course there is golf. I spent three hours walking there and didn’t even feel tired.

7/12(三) Yesterday afternoon, I got nothing to do. So, I decided to find the way to Bardon Park again. This tme I brought the map book with me and asked pepople for the direction. Finally, I got there. I got the place I went but didn’t arrive at…I saw the park and stood on the jetty… it’s just like the life…Several times in my life, I didn’t on the right track. I was at a loss about where I should go, what I should do, and what kind of person I wanted to be… But I could always find my way back and be on the right track again. I always tried my best and saw how much I could do. Never give up since there’s no limit in human’s potential…but I got lost on my way back still…

我在Australia做 help exchange的日子~Nachos for today
7/10 (一) We had nachos for tonight. Nachos is a kind of Mexican food made of corn chips, cream, and some other vegetables such as tomatoes, spring onions and lettuce. Oh~Peter even put red beans inside it! It rang a bell... when I was a graduate student, there were always corn chips with Salsa sauce in the party...delicious!!!

我在Australia做 help exchange的日子~a big meal for today

Try to give myself some fun. 配料有tomatoes, spring onions, cheese and lettuce。
I think you’ve done enough today。
